Holy smokes! Dry hitch went up nearly 1000lbs in one year!

So on the very short list was a 25.5 reok.
The listed dry hitch weight last year was 1320.
This year, Jayco has it 2200 and change, totally blowing out of *any* 1/2 ton arena!

An error, or are they totally revamping things?

If that is for reals, it will be a TT for us... Or used.

Their sales app lists dry weight at 7775 and dry pin at 1405. Different folks running different calculators. SMH

I'd say an error. That's a lot of pin weight for that small of a trailer. My 2017 Eagle 293RKDS pin is 2660 scaled. That's with a washer/dryer combo, onboard generator and full 75 gallon water tank. We pack heavy too. That's the large 4 door fridge and dual pane windows. Also countless lbs of junk and crap lol

I was checking out the 2020 Pinnacles on the Jayco site and most are listed with a 3600lb dry pin... that’s pushing 4000+ ready to camp.
There has to be a mistake.

My Pinnacle fully loaded (no water) only has a 3,000 lb pin weight according to the CAT scales.

As a general rule figure the pin weight of a fifth wheel will be around 21% of the trailer weight, so empty 1,633 and fully loaded 2,099. 2,220 dry weight looks high, I would call them and ask what is going on.

On my 308RETS TT, the axles are only 4400 lbs (x2) for a gross trailer weight of 10k. This is the reason for my heavy tongue weight and low cargo capacity.
Could they be putting minimal axles in and putting more weight on the pin?
