How to anchor kitchen chairs

Hi everyone... in out last unit both the back chairs and the kitchen chairs had D rings mounted on the floor so that you could tie things down. Amazingly there are none in this trailer. I installed D rings for the back chairs but am a bit nervous drilling into the slide.

I don't want to have the kitchen chairs bouncing around in transit. Any ideas?

The floor of the slide is 5/8 or 3/4 plywood minimum, so if you use short screws you should be fine with flush mount D-Rings.

I saw the Mor-ryde hydraulic assisted chair holder on a Montana and ordered one for our Pinnacle. Wasn’t hard to install and is so simple and out of the way. Beats what Jayco had with the straps and eyelets screwed to the floor. It’s just a T-handle with a hydraulic strut attached that puts pressure on the seat cushions. Mounts on the wall under the table and you don’t even know it’s there.

Thanks for this I formation Grumpy! I lifted the carpet and it was only 1/4” or so. Perhaps that’s a tapered edge. Thanks again 👍

Great, thanks so I should be fine with 1/2” screws. Where did you happen to find a brochure? I was able to download a user manual but it doesn’t have any specs.
