2018 379 DBFS. Not to many of us I see. The layout is great for us. Nothing better than the kids having their own full bathroom

Jayco 5th Wheel Poll

RV and 5th wheel carport question. Guys I am not so smart as it turns out. We have a new Jayco 351 RSTS with dual AC’s and before we ordered it we ordered a carport. 18x41x14 tall. While reviewing 5th wheel reviews we got 13’3” in our heads so thought it would fit in this massive carport. Guess what, it won’t,and don’t want others to make this same mistake.
So...question, ideas on how to raise the carport? Carport dealer says they don’t do higher legs than the 12 foot ones. It’s an A frame carport so 14 feet at dead center and angles down from there. Glad I measured before a test drive. Ideas?

Off the top of my head, you could get some concrete poured in those cylindrical tubes with rebar to the height that you would need and then bolt the legs to the new concrete??

2016 North Point 375 BHFS

We have a 2016 North Point 375 BHFS. This will be our second full summer with it. Eby's Pines Campground opens in 49 days! Not that I'm counting.

Sorry to hear about your carport problem. Sounds pretty complicated if the shed is already in place. If you were doing that from scratch and need another couple feet of height, I would say mono slab or small continuous footing and three courses of 8"block. Run the top course as a lintel block. Make sure you have some rebar doweled into the slab or footing and then pour the walls solid striking the top smooth. The rail of the shed can be attached to the top of the 2' tall wall. If your shed is already in place, I would pick up one side carefully and build the wall under it. Set down one side on the top of the wall and pick up the other side and build the wall. This should take 90 block per side or 180 block total plus a total of 5 CY Concrete for the Footings and 1 1/2 CY for the wall. Lot of money for 2 feet.

On Monday my wife and I are picking up our 2018 Jayco North Point 315RLTS. We placed our order on Friday, December 22nd right before the plants shut down for the holidays. The camper was delivered to the dealer in Middlebury on March 1st. I plan on posting to this thread along with a photo of the new rig. Sorry if I got off topic.

Jayco 5th Wheel Poll

OK, I picked up the new North Point 315RLTS in Middlebury Indiana last Monday March 12th. What a trip that was, Tampa to Middlebury! Not as bad as our last trip to La Grande Oregon but still a long drive. My wife and I weren't wanting quite this big an RV but couldn't pass up on the extra's that are included with the North Point. For us it was the best deal we could find. At just under 39 feet overall it is smaller than some but still a big RV. I live near four large RV dealers just outside Tampa but I just couldn't justify not ordering a new rig and taking the drive to pick it up. Dealer was Indiana RV Connection and they did a nice job.

Love the Bunk Beds in our Eagle HT

It was one of the selling points for us, it had to have bunk beds for our 4 kiddos. The separate shower and toilet room are fantastic too!

We also like that the bunk beds are over the tongue, this kept the master in the back and the height lower than if the master and bathroom where in the front.

Got our 2003 M311 a couple of months ago. Previous owner bought it new.
It is in great condition inside and out!
She has been retired from road travels and will spend the remainder of her days at my permanent spot at a camp ground in Kentucky.
My last camper was a ‘94 Jayco Eagle pull behind. I am happy with the quality and longevity of the Jayco brand, that is why I looked almost exclusively for a Jayco when I was shopping.

Looking for advise

We presently own a 2011 Heartland GreyStone but are looking at a new Jayco 321 RSTS. Anyone out there own one and would like to share how they like or dis-like the unit. We are looking at a few (across the nation) that have auto-leveling, 2nd A/C in bedroom, King Bed, large screen TV in living room and a 2nd TV in the bedroom that we could move outside if we wanted. Any other suggestions of options to look for would be appreciated! Oh, also thought about awnings over all slide outs (3).
Have enjoyed our Greystone but it seems to be falling apart little by little. Almost lost the entire rear end cap about a year ago, seems screws they used just weren't long enough. Also the Grey paint used that years is subject to fading. Recliners inside seem to be covered with {paper thin} leather.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you much

Our new fifth wheel

Picked up our new Jayco 30.5 MBOK on May 5, 2018. Had our first outing this past week and everything worked great. Our first fifth wheel and our first diesel vehicle. Enjoying both.

Ok, two years late... Interesting drama to tell on delivery day. We traveled to Middlebury (from Ft Wayne IN) to pickup our first ever 5th wheel, a 2016 North Point 377 RLBH on Fri May 27, 2016, at Indiana RV Connection. Being Memorial Day weekend, our dealer PI found us walking around a North Point 375, the wrong rig. We didn’t even know if for 15 min, until I broke away from the mechanic and wife to peek inside...only to see the fridge not be where it’s supposed to.

Our rig was still in the back lot, unwashed. Did the walk around, I climbed the rear ladder (I’m 230 lbs) and it snapped both bottom screws! They fixed it on the spot, we went in to sign the final papers only to discover the rig is a 2017 model instead! Yep, the VIN matched. So how about them apples on delivery day? Can anyone top that drama!Click image for larger version

We own an Eagle Premier, 2015 model, that we traded a 2013 Pinnacle in to get. Loved the Pinnacle and would still own it but the Atwood leveling system gave us nothing but trouble. Malfunctioned constantly, had 2 legs and 2 control boards replaced within two years and it still wouldn't work! We saw the 2015's had a Lippert system which we knew to be dependable so we decided to trade (with a loss of course) Had this one a little over a year and the Schwintek slide begun malfunctioning. Finally at the beginning of year 3 we had a major repair done on the slide, to the tune of $1800 (covered by warranty) so now here it is a year later and we are stuck 1400 miles from home in a park because our Schwintek slide stuck in the out position this time! We had someone yesterday come out from a repair shop to try to get the slide in, using the proper technique described online, but it didn't work so we are still stuck. They are going to try again tomorrow morning after studying it today. Do NOT buy an RV with a Schwintek slide, it is bound to fail and strand you somewhere. Jayco doesn't want to hear about it now because ours is out of factory warranty so you are on your own with any problem! We still have an extended warranty but it is doing us no good if we can't get it to the shop.
