Just Purchased Today! 2 Questions...

I just purchased a 2021 Jayco Eagle HT 24RE. This is the smallest 5th wheel we have ever owned and I have two questions. One simple, and the other a shot in the dark.

1. What is the largest size TV that will fit in the bedroom cut out?

2. Is it possible to rotate the dining table 90 degrees to give some extra room? We only have two of us and only need two chairs. There appear to be a few screws holding it but not sure how it mounts.

Congratulations on your new 5th wheel! Don't know about the TV but we rotated the table by backing out the 4 screws in the base. No issues and adds more room.

Not sure if you have carpet in that area, if you don't the base might not cover the previous screw holes when rotated.

I’ve heard of people rotating the tables to make more room. I thought about that in ours, but it’s more of a rectangle, so wouldn’t work as it would tighten the gap between on chair and a wall. I’d give it a shot. Worst case, you just put it back where it started.

HeHasTheCamera,

Welcome to JOF

My free standing table base was 'screwed' to the slide floor in my 2018 Jay Flight 24RBS. I relocated my table (now using 2 chairs) within my slide to allow room for an added recliner chair. I also removed the four existing chair tie-down clips from the slide floor, relocating two of them.

If you do decide to rotate the table, take care to not drive the screws back in too tightly.

My buddy rotated the table on his last 5th wheel, and drove the screws in just a little too much. Unfortunately, he didn't notice until he ran the Dining Room slide out again. The screw point tore the flooring as the slide slid out.

We don't have carpet and that's the next strategy I have to figure out because the base is rectangular so I'm going to have 2 to 4 holes for sure from the 6 screw base. This may sound like a dumb question, but it's my 4th RV and all this time I've never really considered what makes up the floor of the slide under the carpet. I'm assuming now that it's just a wood platform and that the screws are simply set directly into the wood? If that's the case it seems I could simply screw right back in again, and be on our way.

That's how my slide floor assembly is set-up (w/carpet, etc.). I also checked to insure that the screws didn't pass "through" the slide floor (had slide extended during table relocation).
