Keyless entry door lock

Hello Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving week,
Easy question. Any recommendations on best keyless entry mechanisms?
Thanks

We went with the RVLock systems for both doors and our basement compartment doors. They have Black Friday sale so we bought them then. Very easy install and ops, with keyless fobs as well as the code entry. Really pleased with these
especially for the storage door locks. Highly recommend them.

Bauer has one that's bluetooth. You can lock/unlock with your phone... two button press to quick-lock. The buttons are better designed, and if you send them the number on your RV's key, they will key it to match.

Amazon has the same one with 2 remotes for $147. I will get it tomorrow.

Replaced my Bauer with Bauer blue tooth one. The old unit inside pull latch broke off.

My vote is for the Bauer Lock. They have fantastic customer support. I had a problem with mine, (I actually caused it it while on the road) Contacted Bauer and they overnighted a replacement with a free return bar code for the bad one. No charges at all. Also, Bauers uses a touch pad like your phone on the key enter pad so there is no membrane to wear out like many folks complain on the RV Lock.

2weeks ago I installed the Bauer lock and had it keyed to match my coach. Really am pleased with the quality and ease of use.

I have a 2017 Melbourne 24L and the only lock I could find to fit the 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" rough opening was a Bauer. Is there any other brand that fits?

If you match the style of lock, generally determined by where the lock barrels are located and or the number of them and select a right hand vs left hand lock you should be o,.k. For example, Bauers follows the standard factory designs. Take a picture of your factory lock mounted in door then make sure your desired new lock matches.. Also make sure you select proper left hand or right hand lock.. Bauers web page explains how to do that.. BTW, Bauers is having a 25% Cyber Monday Sale going on.

Ours came with the Bauer. It's pretty much useless. The batteries (4) have been replaced many more times than I care to remember. I don't know why they die so quickly when the use is minimal and I really don't care. I use the key mostly since I learned the hard way once not to lock it with the number pad while the key laid inside on the table. One set now stays in the truck and the other is in the house.

Another for RV lock, I installed mine a few weeks ago. Completely metal except for the red lock latch inside, but that offers almost no resistance. Can't speak for battery life yet.

On the inside of the latch there is a switch to turn On & Off the remote FOB. Turn it to Off when you aren't using the RV and it will increase the battery life. I installed my RVlock almost 6 months ago and the lock still has the original batteries.

That's a good tip since I don't really use the fob often. But I am full time so I'm sure I'll have to change the batteries out soon either way, or just use the key more.
