King pin stabilizer

On my old 5th wheel it had just screw down jack in the rear and I used a king pin stabilizer and it did help with the 5er movement. Our new 5er has the auto leveling which puts a lot of weight on the jacks at 4 points. So my question is those with auto leveling do you use and if so are there much improvement using a king pin stabilizer?

The comments on the king pin tri pod have been mixed. I use angled stabilizers on the levelers, similar to the JR Strongarms.

Yeah, like GHen said it’s is mixed feeling but I have the one for the king pin stabilizer, with my 5th wheel yes their is still some movement but I did install a set of JT Stongarm but I only did it about two months ago so I want know for sure. My 5th wheel have the four leveling jacks, when I use the king pin stabilizer the movement wasn’t as bad but it was their. This summer when I take it back out I will use the JT,s first and then see if I will need to use the king pin stabilizer.

I put "the rock" stabilizers on the rear of my FW and it took out 95% of the movement.

Hey RipinSC, you don't happen to have any pics do you? When I install my jt's strong arm it came with enough to do my rear stabilizer so I have been thinking about install the back one but I wanted to wait to see how the ones in the front work first.

I have the 6-point leveling system on my 2016 Pinnacle and I use a king pin stabilizer without JT support arms. I also have x-chocks between the tandem wheels. We don't feel any movement in our FW. I have also asked friends when they are camping with us and no one has ever said they felt any movement inside.

6 point systems are great, wish I had one, much more stable than the 4 point.

When we had the washer and dryer installed we also purchased the king pin tripod. And, we love it.

I’ve tried contacting this guy (the Rock) through his website. Sent a follow up email 3-4 days later. Now it’s been over a week. Nothing but crickets, beginning to think he’s not doing business anymore.

Until you can get ahold of them, you can make a DIY stabilizer from 2x4 or 2x2’s and a ratchet strap. Youtube has videos on how to make one. I was using a homemade version, worked great, until saving enough for the JT Strongarms.

Thanks, I opened my email when I got home tonight and right after your reply post was a reply from Jim. So he’s still doing business. Must have just been busy. So now I need to go take a few measurements. He’s offering them in 3 different sizes Heavy duty $300, Medium $200 and lite $100. Thanks, this looks like a great solution for me.
