LED Strips on the Nose of Eagle HT FW

We have a 2017 Eagle HT 24.5 5th wheel (actually 29.5 feet long). We ran it to a lot of places last year, and really like it a lot!

It looks to have strips of LED's along each side of the front nose of the TT. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to turn those on.?. I've looked in the manual (which isn't much help). I think I've heard them called "docking lights" by some others.

There is a light switch on the control panel, but it only seems to turn on the awning lights...ditto for the remote, and yes, I do have the battery switch turned on.

Can anyone help me figure out how to light those up? Sometimes they would be most helpful when hooking up in the dark.

We have a 28.5 rsts and the switch is on the underside of the nose to the side of the pin box buy the brake away cable.

Same here on my 355MBQS.

Same place on my Pinnacle 36KPTS, two switches... one for the nose lights, second for a light bar directly above the pin box.

Thanks everyone! Nice weather today, so I'll run over to the storage place and take another look by the pin box. I do have the small light there, with it's own rocker switch. I'll poke around some more and report back.

Purchased a 2018 North Point 38' 6 slides-50amp service last October and have question as to what size generator would efficiently run two (2) topside air conditioners, TV's and lights OR
40K BTU internal heating unit, TV and lights.


We don't plan to Boondock a whole lots but do not want to be stuck somewhere and not have the capability.



I'm thinking 5-to 6K but need guidance

Redley... I'd strongly suggest starting this in a fresh thread to get the best responses.

That being said, I'd think a 5-6kw unit would be plenty. I have a 6kw Generac at my house, and it runs everything except my bigger 5 ton A/C unit.

Yes, I found it, next to the pin-box. It was covered with a translucent plastic weather cap, so it really didn't look like a normal rocker switch. But sure enough, I pressed it, and the nose lights came on...YEA!

While I was messing with electrical things at the Eagle, I also installed one of the LED dimmers in the living room area that was recommended in this forum (mainly for dimming the awning lights). That thing works really well...although it's a bit pricey. I'll likely put another one in the bedroom area.

How did you get the awning lights to dimm ?

I didn't. I put the dimmer on the Living Room lights. But the process would be about the same for the awning lights.

The first trick is to ID the proper wires going TO the awning LED strip. I don't consider mine to be all that bright, but I may reconsider, and install one on that as well.
