Lippert Shocks - Don't buy!!
I have had issues with the fifth wheel riding so rough that the blades on the ceiling fan have broken off on longer trips, and the couch "walks" out into the middle of the rv. To correct this, I have done lots of research into air bag hitches, (got one), and adding shocks to the Eagle. After looking at the two most popular shock systems (Lippert and the Joy Riders), I contacted Lippert directly to make sure I got the correct kit. I went with Lippert because they manufactured the majority of the rest of my frame and suspension, plus they were about $75 less per kit than the Joy Riders. I sent all my info to Lippert about my frame and axle size, and they responded with what they said was the correct part number and kit. Never once did they tell me that these kits don't always fit every model, which is apparently common knowledge. I took the kits and fifth wheel to a shop for installation, and sure enough, the shocks won't fit my Eagle. They sit too close to the tires to allow for turns and the the shocks would end up rubbing against the tire. I called Lippert, and their response was, yeah, we really don't have a kit that will fit your trailer, but we will reimburse the cost of the kits, but of course not the $$$ for the failed install. Sure would have been nice to know that from the beginning and they had about 4 emails to tell me. But did not. Sooooo frustrating.

My Eagle has no shocks and came with the Mor/Ryde hitch pin. No problems like you describe from road bumps. I thought about adding them because my last one had shocks but have never pursued it.

Can't go wrong with the joy riders. They put a lot of thought and time into their design. Lippert is just old school common shelf items.

Have you got the tires balanced?
From the factory Jayco did not balance the tires.
I just replaced my tires and asked the tire shop to balance them. They said they never do that, but I insisted on it and they did it for me.

All come unbalanced from the factory. I always have mine balanced. Why not? The general thought is the trailer does not care but I believe it can lead to vibration which can damage the tire and the trailer.
Most tire shops scratch their head when asked it but will upon request when mounting. I paid a few bucks to have them balanced when new. Mine came with Marathons so I was having tire problems the first year.

Politics are not something I like to talk about on a forum. Just hope the President will continue/expand the infrastructure program. Lots of bridges and those aprons to and from them are bad.

When we were riding the Harley pulling a pop up you could tell when you crossed from one state to another just by the road. I won't say who but you can tell whose in charge in each state by the quality of the road. I would tell my wife to close her eyes and tell me when we crossed from say Mn to SD, she could tell instantly, same with Iowa to ILL.. Interesting but it's consistent across the Midwest and West in our experience.
When I have purchased RV tires they have always balanced them, never had to ask, just makes sense.
Happy Camping

What do you have for an equalizer? Maybe upgrading to a MORyde 3000 or 4000 would be the ticket.

I have the Mor Ryde 3000 that came from the factory. I believe the new air ride hitch and the shocks will solve my problem. But I still can't get over the fact that Lippert had all the info they needed to discern the right product, and most likely knew the product they pointed me to would not work. Yet they said nothing until I spent a day's labor cost proving they won't go on the rv. Very poor customer service from a company I thought was much more interested in their customers than that.

My trailer rides rough. Items in the rear upper cabinets get bounced a lot and we broke the glass in pictures that were laid in there for travel. I attributed it to the stiffer S637's I put on as I never towed it loaded with the OE tires. This past fall I put on a wet bolt kit and replaced the CRE3000 which was seized. Seems to ride better now and no more squeaking and groaning when maneuvering.
