Motor on dining room slide

A week out of warranty failure 54 occurred, the dining room slide motor, according to Lippert. We extended the slide and at end of travel it didn't make the clutch bang noise. we retracted the slide and the same thing happened; no clutch bang, bang only motor lock. So we called Lippert and they said the motor needed to be replaced. The slide system is the dual rack system with the movers of the slide under the slide and the rack teeth are visible. We went to the Lippert site and they had a video on how to replace the motor. However, it was open, no slide, and easy access. I don't even know where under the chloroplast it is. Three questions. Do I really have a problem? Has anyone done this and have advice? Does the $159 after market Amazon fit? Lippert wants $460. The Amazon motor looks like the one in the Lippert video and is a

Does the slide fully open and close?
I have had this happen a few times that the clutch did not bang.
You should have a cut out with a piece of chloroplast screwed on at the motor
location.

I don’t always get the bang. In fact, I try to avoid by pushing in short bursts as I get near the end points. If I’m on battery and I’ve done some leveling etc, I won’t get the bang. Sometimes even on shore power. If it all works(opens and closes), I’d leave it be.

The slide fully opens and closes.
Thanks a lot for the advice, I'm going to leave it alone.
