Need help ASAP. No hot water flow

Been living in RV since the hurricane. I have not moved a valve or touched a thing. DW goes to wash dishes no water flow from hot side, cold works fine. Every faucet has cold water but nothing from hot side. Pulled relief valve on water heater and water poured out. So water under pressure is entering water heater and something is suddenly keeping it from flowing to any hot side of faucets. Like I said have not moved a valve and suddenly this happens. I just switched over from city to dry camping just in case something is about to fail did not want a flood. Since I am in Fl I have never winterized or moved a valve to by pass water heater.
Is there a way to hook up air and back flow the system to see if there is a clog somewhere. I am baffled. This just happened so tomorrow I will unload and open up the basement and start following plumbing

Some HWT have a check valve and if they wear out and get stuck it cuts off water flow.

X2, gotta be a check valve located on the back of the HWT.

I will look up Atwood water heater and see. Why would they put a check valve on water out of the heater?

It’s there to prevent hot water from migrating back into the cold water system.

Would that not be the check valve on the cold water side? The only reason I can see for it is when u bypass for winterizing antifreeze will not back flow into heater. Just now all of a sudden hot water flows again. Just ordered a check valve for the hot side. Nothing ever just fixes itself for good.
Thanks for the help guys, has to be that check valve.

Just ordered another check valve. Figure if I got to take the basement apart might as well replace both. I just hate opening up that wall and looking at the rat nest.

Just My 2 cents:

The check valve is so when you put the hot water heater that has one ball valve on the inlet in bypass and take the tank plug out to winterize, water doesn't keep running out of the tank. Also when your putting an air cushion in tank, you don't have to drain the system of water.

Also My old Jayco trailer had a mixing valve, which was a sales gimmick in my eyes. The housing code in Canada makes us put them in our houses so no one gets sculled. What the manufacturer did, was installed a mixing valve and put a higher temperature rated thermostat on the water tank, this made it sound like you had a 10 gallon tank when it was only 6. The hot water was mixed to 120 degrees like the 6 gallon tank but you got more volume. The problem with these valve's were, they didn't like bad water or sitting all winter and they would seized up and stop working at $300 dollar. I'm not sure if my 2020 MBQS355 has one, I hope not. In 2008 my Dealer changed everyone they sold and the valve manufacturer came out with a new version.

I will be looking at everything when I get into the rat nest. Might also replace water pump with a variable model. I have no leaks but current pump must have a bad valve. About every 10-20 min it kicks on for a second to maintain pressure. Doing it for over a year now. Hate to do it now while living in it

Sounds like the check valve which you can replace or the easier way is install a inline check valve which you can buy at Home Depot/Lowes. If you buy a Sharkbit e valve its simple just cut the input line and press the valve into place, no tools needed.

I replaced my boat water pump with the variable model. What a difference. Hardly any noise and steady flow any setting. We dry camp up in the mountains at our camp. I use a pump
From river to fill water tank so we use the pump all the time. Our bed is above the basement on our model and the noise gets old.

If no water comes out of hot faucets but the cold sides work it is the check valve. It screws directly into back of water heater. Make sure u relieve tank pressure.

I don't own a Pinnacle, and I'm not sure what G34 means. Maybe it's the model number.

But what helps is to post what make, model and year you have. Next pop the outside cover off the water heater and post the information about it too.

Jayco changes appliances from year to year, model to model. So for someone to help with specifics, they'd need to know exactly what you have.

Otherwise, you're going to get general guesses.

Is the propane burner firing?
Do you get a little hot water?

If the tank is hot, if the water in the tank is getting heat - then we know it's a flow/valve issue. If the water in the tank is *not* getting heat, then that's a different issue.

Had the same thing happen a couple months ago. Found it was a bad check valve on the output side (back) of the water heater. I contacted the manufacturer of the water heater and they advised that it not installed by the manufacturer and must have been installed by the trailer manufacturer. Removed the check valve and had water from the hot side of the faucets again.

Could be the mixing valve on the hot water outlet of the tank. This was installed to allow Atwood to adjust its internal hot water temp higher so they could in effect give you 12 gals of hot water at a constant set temp. It mixes hot water with water from the the cold water inlet to give you a constant warm water outlet temp ( so as not to scald one). Springs can fail on these and lock it up. Reach in an feel the outlet lines while somebody runs the hot water. You will be able to tell if it’s working or not. I will tell you how to remove it if this is indeed the issue, in another posting. Cheers / Jeff
