Need ideas for mod to kitchen pantry
This is our second Jayco - this time a 2014 Eagle 5th wheel. Has anyone successfully done a mod to the ridiculously small kitchen pantry cupboards? BTW, ours is the 26.5 RLS. Two cupboards to the left of the refrig as you go up the stairs to bedroom and bathroom. Have been looking for some kind of sliding apparatus to install. Thanks

We have the same trailer. I bought some draws slides at the hardware store, built some low sided drawers and installed them in the pantry. Works great.

That's just perfect. Are those just the basic Menards drawer glides? I see your screen name has Wisconsin. My Jayco is in Webb Lake, WI. Camped in it all weekend!!

I love the slide idea for the can goods etc... Everything stacked in place with easy access...

I'm happy that the pantry in my 2003 is set up almost identically, from the factory!

Yes-Menards drawer glides, but I'm sure any big box lumber yard would have them.

Not sure about them being small, but just not very user friendly with all the tall space and no way to get a lot of stuff in them with no shelfs. The ideas presented here seem like the way to go. I have the 26.5 HT RLS and have the same questions, but have not acted on it yet. Maybe this year.

My pantry is deep but very narrow, so it was darned near impossible to get to the stuff in the back near the top. I built drawer boxes and bought some "full extension" drawer glides from Menard's. I lost a couple of inches of space on each side, but the convenience of being able to reach everything more than makes up for it! I only did the top half - use the bottom half for a big bin of dog food. Also, you need to be able to open the pantry door at least 90 degrees to pull the drawers out. I had to remove the lambrequin from my entry door to be able to do that. (Sorry, but can't figure out how to rotate the posted pics.)
