I am looking at the very same fifth wheel. Can you tell me the true weight of the 29.5 BHTS?

I don't have my sticker in front of me but I recall it being about 800 lbs heavier than the published dry weight.

Congrats on the trailer. You will love it. We like our much better than any previous floor plan. They are selling a lot of this model.

Notaz - safe to say 9,000 lbs dry with an additional 1,000 payload.
Tops out at 10,000 overall. Great trailer !!!!

I take it you have no problem pulling it with your "little V6". Next question is do you have 6-1/2 foot bed? Does it need a sliding hitch?

I'd highly recommend it. I was in the "not necessary" camp when I had my Cougar. When I got my Jayco almost clipped my cab, thankfully I caught it just in time. Now I'm in the better safe than sorry group. I have a 6 3/4 foot bed.

Id highly recommend a slider as well. I use mine all the time just to be on the safe side. I didnt have it at first and had a couple close calls and decided Id get one now before I absolutely had to have it. Also have a short bed.

Sorry to have high jacked the thread; however, thank you all for the information. Guess I'll be getting a slider hitch before the new fifth wheel.

Horaz - because of the Reese Revolution pin box I did not get the sliding hitch. I just use a 16K Reese Titan which is a stellar set up. It has a dual jaw set up which is a trick at first to hook up. I figured out quickly and now I hitch up nice and easy. The dual jaws take away the chucking completely. I am able to turn nearly 90 degrees. "My little V-6" is not stock by a long shot. I have a Bully Dog Triple Gas tuner and cold air intake, Summit Racing tranny cooler, aeon springs,Bilstien HD shocks and Michelin 10e rated tires. I have zero issues pulling this trailer. Is it the best package, no. It does the job for now and when the time comes I will go up to a F-250. Enjoy the adventure buying this floor plan, it's a good one.

I have had my 29.5 BHDS for about a month now. I went with the Reese Revolution. I have a 6.5' bed and can turn it around in my front yard no problem without having to worry with sliding a hitch. So far I love the Reese!!
