Norcold 2118 Freezer Issue

i have a Norcold 2218 in Northpoint 38 7RDFS that is about 1 year old. Up until about a week ago Freezer temp was running low to mid teens and fridge temp around 32 on setting of 9. Both were relatively stable regardless of outside temps. Freezer temp suddenly has bumped up about 10 degrees and running in low to mid 20's. Ice maker quit working I assume to higher temp. Fridge temp did not increase and is staying about where it was. I have a large accumulation of frost in freezer that has built up over the summer. Will the frost cause that issue? What else would?

Defrost it. Also confirm the cabinet is correctly built per Norcold's requirements. Almost never is.

Defrosting brought it back to previous temperature ranges. Thanks.

Good! Ice is a good insulator. You get too much and you loose cooling.

Sure is. Just ask the ESKIMO's in their Igloos...
