Pinnacle Fireplace

In order to remove the glass cover which pulls up and pulls off, do you have to remove the wood trim around the fireplace. Has anyone done this.......hard, easy?

I had to pull the top trim off to lift the glass up enough to remove it. After the glass is removed you can access the screws that hold the fireplace in.

If you want to pull the fireplace out do you have to remove the other 3 pieces of trim?

I only had to remove the trim piece across the top of the glass. I was then able to lift the glass up and out.

I've had ours out a couple of times and have not had to pull the trim. The glass can be a little tight to get in and out, but it will come.

The last time I had the fireplace out the trim piece fell out (three tiny staples holding it in place) and I put the glass back before replacing the trim, but I didn't think not having the trim in place made much of a difference.

I have a 2018 36KPTS and the wooden trim just fell off. It seem that mine was held on by thin double stick tape.. What quality LOL !!!

To pull the fireplace out to easily get to the TV connections and clean all the construction debris which Jayco just leaves there. And to replace the s++ty Furrion sound bar.

And if your unit is anything like ours, you’ll find all kinds of construction debris back there...

I did the same thing, the glass is a little hard to get out but after you remove the trim it just pushes up and pulls out. I installed a Sonos Beam in place of the Furrion sound bar and added an Apple TV, now the Furrion TV is somewhat useful LOL You might want to clean up the cables going to the TV so they don't catch on the elevator to be safe. Cleaning the construction debris is a must, is is really hard to believe they leave it that way.

Last trip I was on I received a message that the vent are covered or something to that effect. I was informed by another owner that Jayco does a VERY POOR JOB cleaning up when assembling the RV and I would need to get behind the fireplace and vacuum it up. I looked down where the TV descends and there is sawdust, wood, flooring material, etc... so I need to clean it up

Maybe it's a Thor policy to not clean up. Our 2011 had a good clean up of the hidden areas. I may just have been lucky.

I did end up having to remove just the top wood trim to get the glass front out.

Our 2012, looked good and clean, I checked all the nooks and crannies when we got it, throughly cleaned every where. I think I cleaned saw dust after the first 3 or 4 trips. No clue where it was coming from. But it would accumulate in a few spots, which made clean up easy.

When traveling down the road that saw dust gets shaken loose and will fall from the ceiling ducts, etc. Will eventually all fall out and you will not see it any longer.
