We bought it and it is under our cover with a gravel floor. But will check out the frame next time I pull it out. It towed absolutely perfect on my 400 mile trip home with it. But I will crawl under it and check everything out when the weather warms up. This thing appears like it was rarely, if ever used.

I believe that the 10000# you are referring to is combined Vehicle weight including the tow vehicle

No, it is just trailer weight loaded (GVWR). If that was the case, I wouldn't be able to tow much over 3k pounds since my Ram is around 6,500 pounds.

Seems like there should be something like Carfax for RV's. That way you could get the history on the VIN before buying.

Assuming the 16 inch tires are 235/80r-16's what is the space beetween the tires? I currently have 15's. By my calculation I will only have 2.5" to 3" if I swapped over to the optional 16's. Is this enough clearance?

You are correct in size and I have about 2 1/4" space between them on the Eagle, the Wildcat had less two inches which was no big deal. I did have to sell my X-chocks though as they would no longer fit between the tires. The factory has 16's as an option on both my old Wildcat and the Eagle I just got, so there is no worry about the larger tires.

For comparison, here is a pic of a new 16" Endurance compared to the 15" Chinabomb that came on my Wildcat. Below that pic is with the 16" on the Wildcat. Both FW's tow like a dream with them plus help level it to my Ram 2500...

Thanks at least my HTX came with the Load Range E 225/75-15's. They haven't been a problem so I think I will leave them on till I wear them out. I am a big fan of old school steel wheels so I think I will go with some black modulares and use the Jayco center cap with them.

Yea, the 15's on the Wildcat were D's and made me nervous. I would have just went with the Endurance tires on the 15's but I really had a nose high problem with them and didn't want to go raising the trailer up on its suspension.

Sutter Creek. I used to go balls out on sport bikes in that area back in the 80's on Hwy 49. Now I imagine its all built up with houses.

Sutter Creek and all of Amador County hasn't grown to much. The four main towns all have around 4000 people or less. They put a bypass on Hwy 49 about 20 years ago. The main part doesn't go through Sutter Creek anymore. We just bought a little singlewide in a 55+ community to retire into. It's nice as we have deeded lots with no space rent. We spend 4 to 6 months a year on the road.

On another note I installed a Correct Track kit to lift the 5er 2". It is still a little nose high but not bad. The newer trucks are all pretty tall now. It pulls great.

We are originally from the 'burbs of Sacramento (Fair Oaks) and moved to small town Nevada to get out of the rat race in 2005. I worked in Auburn for a couple years and loved the area back then. Now its saturated with people. Used to go the Mountain Air Festival at Angels Camp and would drive through Sutter Creek. Saw Tom Petty there.

Loved those days and the Sierra foothills. Just an awesome area. Now we're getting ready to sell our home and move to either southern Alabama or northern Florida so my wife can be closer to her son. He is in Ft Lauderdale which is too congested and pricey for us.
