Refrigerator Swap

We currently have the original Samsung residential fridge that came in our 2015 36FBTS. For quite sometime it has had a problem over cooling - as in ice cream in the freezer gets as hard as concrete (yes, the temp in the freezer is set at the warmest setting) and items in the fridge actually freeze. I've done some research and apparently this particular model fridge is known for this issue. I want to install a different unit but am having a problem finding any units that match all the dimensions of my current unit.

Has anyone replaced your fridge and if so, which fridge did you find that would fit in the compartment? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a new thermostat control? I had the same issue in my house fridge. I replaced the thermostatic control and it solved the issue. House unit isn't a Samsung like yours though. Mine had the old school temp sending bulb and mechanical. Your's may have a thermistor that is bad.

I would definitely try the thermostatic control replacement 1st. Someone on here had to pull out their dinning window to remove/replace residential fridge on here...sorry don’t remember who. Old fridge went out thru the opening and new one went in same way. I do remember that It was on a 377 tho.
