Second A/C Pre-Wire

I have a Jayco 2015 Pinacle 38FLSA and it only had 1 AC unit installed from the factory. The bedroom roof vent area is prewired 110 and ducted for adding a second AC. The thermostat wiring is there as well and I found the other end of the thermostat wire in the wall next to the bedroom slide switch. I have not however found the 12 volt positive and ground wire that is needed to power the wall mounted thermostat. Has anyone performed the 2nd ac installation and was there a 12 volt power and ground wire included in the prewire?

We had a colman Mach installed after the fact same as you are attempting. The Colman Mach ac unit with the right board installed provides what the thermostat needed.
The wire just connected to ac board and other end to thermostat. I You might be thinking furnace connection?

It should be there. You may need to use a small wire shaped into a hook and go fishing. Only other thing that you might need to do is grab it off the slide switch.

Other thing is ask JAYCO for the wiring diagram.

I took the 12 volt for the thermostat off the bedroom light switch when I installed my second a/c.

I thought about getting the power from the light switch but not sure where a negative ground wire might be. I think the only switched wire is the positive.

Where did you get the ground wire from?

I am installing a coleman mach 8 heat pump. Both the installation instructions that came with the unit and the thermostat call for a 12 volt positive and ground to be connected to the thermostat. Instruction indicate for most reliability connect direct to the positive side of the inverter.

Our thermostat wire was taped to the light switch wiring. Thinking about it I believe there was a ground wire taped to it as well

RoadrunnerII If you have it prewire would make sense the 12 volt and ground are accessible
