Semi-winterizing my coach
This will be the first full winter for our 377 where it’s parked on our lot in Central Oregon with power and water. Last year it was fully winterized with no power, batteries removed, water lines filled with antifreeze and the residential fridge turned off. I’m trying to figure out the best and safest way to winterize it in such a way where we can pop over for the weekend if not too snowy and enjoy the coach.
So I’m not inclined to fully winterize it this year. I was thinking of maybe blowing out the water lines with air, draining the hot water heater and tanks, retracting the slides and perhaps putting an small radiator style heater inside. This would allow the ambient temperature to not fall below 40° and allow me to run my refrigerator all year. Obviously I’m not going to be over enough to keep the propane tanks filled so I can’t use the furnace. For those of you not familiar Central Oregon it is high desert and can get into the low 20s quite regularly during the winter.
Can anyone see any issues with this technique?
