Set Up Procedure

I'm almost embarrassed to ask such a basic question but the wife and I just can't remember our Pinnacle's set up procedure. We bought it last year and didn't get to use it much due to you know what. Our previous fifth wheel was an Excel and it was auto level first, slides out second. I am pretty sure the Pinnacle is level it front to back as best we can, put the slides out then hit the auto level button. My wife thinks it is the other way around. Now I'm not sure.

On our Pinnacle, I level first and then put the slides out second.

50 years next month. You would think I would finally learn.

It makes sense once I think about it. I would think being level would eliminate any frame flex that could be an issue for the slides even though I've not experienced anything that made me think there was any flexing, leveled or not.

We did get to spend a month in it last year but it was in one spot so still not a lot of experience with set up and take down. So far we have been very impressed with everything about it.

Took me a while to get my " act" together on method for set up...searched several threads on this forum and other Blogs and downloaded a checklist for set up and tear down.... most everyone starts with basically stabilizing the Fifth Wheel after using levelers to lift front/back/side to side if required due to ground slant of site, chocking the wheels, disconnecting, auto level.... then open the slides .... site power check and breaker panel checks in there as well...
but having a checklist on hand is a good idea either way...
