Slide roller wear pads

Here is the pic I said I would get next time I opened her up. I have six rollers and six pads. If I can get the other pics of tire rub and sealing wheel well area I will add them here or just post separate. I posted this before and it would behoove u to seal the wheel well area seams and bottom slide seams. U can push your finger into the material and frame top in wheel well area.
Driving in a heavy rain the tires are blasting water up in there. After time the floor will get wet and sag.

Second two pics are of my tire rub on slide. That area has just been sealed. The new suspension and heavier morride rubber bushing fixed that problem.

They are gouge free. Obviously your slide must move better than it did before.
Trying to push those over the rollers vs pushing the dented wood over the rollers would be night and day.

I wish I saw this picture before they replaced my slide.
It still sounds like it wants to die on the way in.

They can add these easily without removing the slide. They jacked up the slide and slid them between roller and slide bottom. They run the width of the slide so all the screws are visible with slide out. The rest of the pad is held in place by the roller. I did this on my old TT to cover up rips in the slide floor material. I used 2x4s and bottle jacks to raise up the slide. I cannot remember the web site I got them from. Jayco service center knows since they put them in.

Jayco themselves did this?
When they jacked it there is enough play in the mechanism to raise without adjusting anything?

Jayco factory service center installed the pads. My one roller pushed into the floor far enough that the bracket was rubbing and tearing up the floor covering. They told me they never removed the slide. They also said they adjusted it so it would rid on the smooth spot, that it has to be just right. I got a feeling they were blowing smoke since I cannot find anything about any type of adjustment that u can make.
Since u just had the whole slide removed and new system put in ask the place that did it about any adjustment and about jacking and adding the pads.
I have seen several class c units with double tracks up high and they had the same pads.

Does your weather strip seal around the pads?

I would love to have these as my floor has slight grooves and ripples. This spring the dealer added 2 more of the updated outriggers to the 1 updated I had before so I know have 3 additional outriggers. Lippert told them to raise the floor before adding the 2 new ones and put probably 1/8” spacers above the existing outriggers. My guess is because they raised the floor the rollers are now pressing harder against the bottom of the slide and now the bottom will jump a bit when it hits each ripple.

I stopped by my dealer (who was been good) on Monday and showed them and they are waiting to hear back from Jayco. We ran it in and out about 5 times and they said it is jumping a bit and thought it was because of the ripples. The good news is it’s getting better and maybe flattening them out.

The slide has never failed me but I sure would love it to be smoother and sound better!

The ripples and duct tape...

And spacers Lippert had my dealer put under existing outriggers to raise floor.

And the reason the floor needed raised is because it drops 1/2”.

You know it’s sad when so many of us actually know how to spell Schwintek!

Looking at your pic of spacer they added and bracket that bracket will be bending soon since it has no stiffiner. Your floor looked like mine until the pads were added.

Oh, it has a big brother nearby which will hopefully keep it happy!

BTW - how thick are those pads? I would love to get my dealer to install these (of course they would have to convince Jayco), but I wonder if after raising the floor with new outriggers and spacers if there's any room left for these or the slide will be too tight?

How big is everyone else's slide? My Eagle is 13'x8' and 2' deep. I see that Jayco is still using the Schwintek for this slide on the Eagle but heard on the North Points and above they aren't on the bigger slide.

Where is this pic within the trailer? What model do you have?

I've adjusted my slides and so far no issues with the outriggers bending or underfloor cover tearing but I'd like to know where to look for issues. Be better if the floors weren't so springy though.

I have 2016 Eagle 321RSTS and that is measured in the middle of the slide.

Pads are about 1/4 inch thick. Ya u got a big brother to help. At the factory service center Lippert replaced mine. I wish they did not. I bolted cut square tubing to my bent ones after I straightened them. There replacement outriggers are no way as strong as what I did. They even missed the one by the center jack that is hidden inside the lower cowling. I even had that one on my repair list. They do the cheapest fix that Just gets by
