Slippery steps inside Northpoint

Hello Everyone, I was surprised that I couldn’t find any comments on what people have done to make the inside steps of their 5th wheel less slippery. I’m not talking about furniture polish slippery, I’m talking about if you’re wearing socks you accidentally take a little larger step than normal and end up having your heal zip off the step creating a very spooky situation. I’ve searched for stick-on carpet strips and I’ve read about non-slip tape (which would look horrible). What are some things you guys have done to safeguard your steps from falls, and to make them less slippery? Oh by the way, my little dog has a hard time with them too. It takes her 10 minutes of courage building and success visualization to finally decide to climb the 18” summit. She flies up and down steps at home. Thanks in advance.

Anti slip tape

they sell this in black but the clear may be easier to blend in with your interior color.
Searched in Amazon for anti slip tape.

We install this anti slip tread tape, on our stairs at home for the dog. I really like the feel under foot.

We purchased some carpet runner from Menards and then cut it to match the steps. Put anti slip carpet tape on step and then set the thin carpet pads we cut on top of them. Same reason was for our older dog that can’t get traction. We snow bird in ours and after 5-1/2 months those pads never moved.

I installed this carpet strip on my stair. I believe I bought it from Camping World. They come in two sizes.

They can go on the landing or curved on the stair. I put it as a landing. See "landing" picture.

I bought 2 similar "non slip" step carpet pieces at Home Depot. Don't work well, and I cant get any tape to stick to either step or carpet no slip backing. Isopropanol was no help. I'm tempted to drive screws into them but the DW would surely not like that, any holes have to be pre approved! I'm hoping the plastic steps and carpet runner backings have aged and will accept tape someday soon.

I used super duty velcro and have not had any problems at all!
