Agree your Door has the answer of what your vechicle can haul, since there are hundreds of different configurations of a Truck, all those options reduce your hauling capacity. Any Truck can pull the trailer, but will it stop it, will it handle correctly in an emergency maneuver, will the transmissions and rearend hold up in extended use. All those factors need to be looked at.

Apparently, there's an upside-down bizarro universe of F250 owners out there:
Mid bunk 5th wheels - Page 2 - iRV2 Forums
Cruising around towing 21.5k+ loaded weight, because he has "7,500lbs airbags" installed. SMH, indeed.

Guy has a 3500 SRW, questioning if he should of bought a DRW instead. Someone comes along and recommends he get a lighter truck. It's crazy! I couldn't believe it. I kept it civil but wanted to rip the guy all up and down.lol But what do you do??

Personally I like 'More' Truck than needed. When some idiot not paying attention & on their cell, cuts you off while hauling 70MPH down-the-road. I like the better stability towing with my dually. Its my daily driver too and I have No issues with it. Parking a little farther away in public lots doesn't bother me either. I back-in everywhere I go.
Love my Dually!

X4 & DW can even back it in! Before I retired, DW would drive it to/from work because it would not have fit in the parking garage. She prefers driving it - she says she feels safer in the bigger vehicle.
