Suspension

My 2017 325bhqs is currently in for warranty repairs. One of my concerns I want them to address is that when I am running the front landing gear up or down... There is a loud popping coming from the suspension. From my limited reading, this is due to nilon bushings failing in the suspension. My dealer said he was under the impression that the 2017 like the 2019 has a wet bolt system standard. Everything I have read says it does not. I live about 1.5 hours from the dealer so am I right? I want to push for it to be replaced with wet bolts if I am right as I have never seen any grease fitting under there (Due to distance I am trying to rely on y'all instead of driving all the way over there to prove my point to the dealer. Great dealer but the GM is currently acting as the service manager due to old service manager retired. So not as knowledgable as he should be.)

My 2017 Eagle came with dry bolts and plastic bushings. Built March of 2017.

Did they end up failing on you?

I changed to wet bolts. Most of the plastic bushings were rubbed through. Two locations had no bushings at all.

Anyone have them replaced under warranty? Also would jayco allow the upgrade to wet bolts?

You may run into the "wear and tear" portion of the warranty. I would want them replaced even at my expense. They would IMO not do any "upgrades" as a warranty repair.

I just had mine done last year and it's not a bank breaker but will pay off down the road in peace of mind.

I installed the wet-bolt upgrade a couple of years ago after reading stories and seeing pics of many worn out plastic bushings. I did the work myself with the help of a friend. It’s not horribly difficult if you are comfortable working with this type of thing and have suitable tools. If you are thinking of DIYing this do a search and you will find several posts of how it’s been done and problems encountered. You Tube is also a good info resource.

If still under warranty then generally you pay the difference in the cost of the replacement vs the upgrade ... so if the replacement to factory specs is say $100 and the replacement with the upgraded parts is $200 then you pay the extra $100 for parts... the labor is the same... most good dealers will do this for you.. charging the manf for the cost of the original parts or get reimbursed for the cost...

I guess I will try to ask if they will upgrade it if not since they have to tear it apart to replace it to original anyways, do you think they will allow me to pay any difference in parts cost to go to wet bolts so I am not in the same boat in another year or two. I can't imagine it would be that much cost difference.
