Trailer Saver Hitch vs. Anything Else?

I have a 2015 Eagle 323LKTS. I take a couple of cross country trips a year, pulling it a 2016 Ford F250 diesel. I have a standard Curt 20k hitch, and Firestone air bags on the truck. My issue is the hard bouncing of the fifth wheel pin box on the hitch. My ceiling fan has only one blade left on it, as the others have been broken off during travel. The Jayco came with a standard Mor Ryde pin box, but that mostly helps with chucking, not hard bounding at the connection point. I am planning on 2 trips over 1,000 miles in the spring. Which air ride hitch does anyone recommend? If any? I don't drive over 65, and mostly keep it under that. I am just tired of not having a ceiling fan and being bounced hard on the truck road from the poor condition of our roads. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

My fan has never had that problem over many miles of traveling. Just curious, Do you air up the tires to full cold pressure?

Do your airbags have too much air in them?

Is there too much weight behind the trailer axles and not enough on the pin?

My tires are replacement from the originals, which wore out in less than 5,000 miles of travel. I ran the originals with 75 lbs, and the new ones are rated G and canhold up to 110 psi. But i keep them at 75 as well, as my rims are only rated for 80 psi. I don't think they are the problem, but am open to that possibility

my air bags are usually put at 30-40 psi. Just enough to raise the truck bed almost level

As for the weight distribution, I have only lawn chairs and a Dish Tailgator in the basement storage. No generators or something overtly heavy.

Is there any other damage or symptoms of hard bouncing (cabinets doors open, stuff rearranged)? My point is, are you sure it’s the bounce and not something like defective fan blades?
If it really is bouncing that hard I’d suspect something is amiss with the suspension or one or more tire is out of round, or maybe you are travelling some really BAD roads.

The only other symptom is the very rough ride, and hitting a depression in the highway at anything over 50 just slams the fifth wheel onto the truck bed. I drive all state highways and interstates. I just don't think it should be this rough a ride.

Unfortunately just not the Eagle has a fan issue - our Pinnacle lost one blade on a trip to upper Michigan. And lost another one on a return trip from Missouri. Yes, roads were rough but not rough enough to cause this (we went to Missouri last year & nothing broke) and it does not help that the chains also wrap around the blades.

We also have experienced rough rides with the 5th wheels we have owned. Our 1st was a 2001 Jayco Eagle. In 2003, the chair in the back flipped over on I-69 in Michigan. That summer I took the 5th wheel to the MorRyde factory and had the IS suspension and MorRyde pinbox installed. The ride improvement was substantial to say the least. Later that same year on the same freeway the chair didn't move. Towed that 5th wheel smoothly until 2015.
Our next 5th wheel was a 2016 Montana High Country that had the MorRyde 3000 suspension but the ride was still pretty rough. Once again I made the trip to the MorRyde factory to have the IS suspension installed. Unfortunately, due to the location of the sink drain it could not be done. I opted to upgrade to the MorRyde 4000 and the MorRyde pinbox that improved the ride significantly. I also added Joyrider shocks that helped even more.
We now have a 2018 Pinnacle that came with the MorRyde 4000 suspension and MorRyde pinbox. Although the ride is decent I plan on having the MorRyde IS suspension installed. I am also considering disc brakes and have looked into the Trailer Saver hitch and the Comfort Rider hitch but have not made any decisions.
In my experience though, upgrading the suspension improved the ride of each 5th wheel considerably and I would recommend that first.

I have the Mor Ryde 3000 on my suspension from the factory. I'm guessing that the sre4000 would not be much of an improvement. Does anyone have a Trailer saver air bag fifth wheel hitch in the truck bed? How well does it smooth out the ride? Or an air bag and shock pin box? I can't find a lot of info on which provides the better, smoother ride.

Even though I wanted the IS suspension, when I upgraded the suspension on my Montana from the 3000 to the 4000 it improved the ride significantly.

How fast you guys running?

With our 2015 PiNNACLE 38FLSA we could leave pill cases, bottle of honey and many.other incidentals on the table in a tray with a 1/2" lip and it all stayed there. I also added a cabinet above the bedroom TV and nothing fell out when we opened the door.

Again, I never drive faster than 65. Usually between 60 and 65. But when we hit a dip in the road, the slamming of the pin box onto the hitch is startling.

Maybe there is just too much slop I your hitch head. How old is it?

Might ask this question over at Escapees or Irv2 . Seems lots of full timers with big 5ers have them.

I too try to keep it at about 65. My last 5er was a 2016 Montana High Country 352RL that we had for 2 1/2 years and put over 15k miles one. I upgraded the suspension from the factory MorRyde 3000 to the MorRyde 4000 and also added the Morryde hitch. I also added the Joyrider shocks myself. As I stated earlier the improvement in the ride was tremendous. I had the MorRyde IS (top of the line) suspension on my 2001 5er and it towed extremely well. Am planning on upgrading my 2018 Pinnacle suspension from the factory installed MorRYDE 4000 to the IS when we return from our winter trip. After towing 5ers thousands of miles since 2001 I am convinced that upgrading any suspension is a worthwhile endeavor that not only improves the ride but protects the trailer from a lot of road shock.

My tow vehicles since 2001 have also had airbags. The current 2014 diesel dually is equipped with airbags that I keep at about 35 -40 psi while towing.
