Warranty service

Do you drop of your fifth wheel to get a defective 12 volt cigerette lighter receptacle replaced or to get the shearing pin of the stabilizer replaced during warranty? Can I get the parts and replace it myself?

You have to see if your dealer will get parts for you.
As far as I know Jayco will NOT send any parts to you.
At least they wouldn’t for me......

My dealer always sent me the parts from warranty claims, all I ever did was email them pictures and a few weeks later the parts arrived from Jayco. I think it depends on the dealer on how they handle it.

In 2012 I had 2 low point drains go bad and one stabilizer switch. I emailed JAYCO support (service@jayco.com) informing them of the above items that went bad and that I was unable to get my TT to a dealer for warranty work. I received an email from them and they agreed to send me the parts, except that the warranty on those parts would no longer be covered. It was a no-brainer for me... I had them send me the parts. They all still work properly!!

I guess it would depend on the item that needs work or replacing.

Our Jayco hybrid is still in its warranty period, and I've found that there is a leak around the bathroom skylight... I'm sure I could climb up there and replace the failed sealant, but, if it's under warranty, I'd far rather have somebody else do it. Aside from anything else, if I do it, that will void what's left of the warranty on the roof.

From others' experience, is it best to contact the dealer or Jayco themselves to get this fixed?

Thank you
Ian, the man from Scotland

If there a leak, I would let a dealer check it out as who knows if there is some underlying problem and not just the sealant issue, in this case.
