Yes I agree.

I am looking at a new Jayco 5th wheel. This will be my 1st 5th wheel. I was wondering who makes the best hitch for my C2500 Duramax with 6.5' box. The dealer does not think a slide hitch is needed, but I am not so sure. Has anyone had issues with tight turns without a slide hitch?

I have a 2015 GMC 2500HD with a 6.5’ bed. I do have a slider hitch and have never had to use it. I can swing the trailer to about 80 degrees until it gets to close to my rear window. Not sure if I will ever need to go any tighter. I just backed in to a site in FL and again did not need it. I would rather have it just in case I do need it one day. Just watch your back window clearance.

Welcome to the forum and happy trailer (and hitch) shopping.

Welcome to JOF! I have a companion slider and I use it once and that all but like the other member said I rather have it and not use it than need it and not have it. I had to back in my 5th wheel in where we store it at and it was better if I use it, I could have done it and not use it but hey why not.

You probably will never have to use it but it's a little peace of mind.
