Didn't say or imply it is. It also isn't every portion of the state. They are still doing it.

If you are heading that way, you might want to know.

It is triggered by ICU bed capacity falling below 15 percent. As of today, the central and southern regions of the state are below the threshold and facing restrictions. The other regions are OK for now, but they can fluctuate significantly and quickly. The best advice for anyone planning a trip soon to the state would be to reschedule for another time.

I’m sure the governor has plenty of evidence that people sleeping in campers are a source of massive outbreaks.

Of course, don't you know that those people are smarter than us normal folks.

Science! Is there a campground at the French Laundry?

And I'm sure he put in an EXEMPTION for all the folks sleeping in tents on the streets of LA and SF, COVID doesn't spread there.

Thought you could just camp on any street that felt right out there.

If you are full timers, do you qualify to be homeless? Just thinking of a work around.

So close yet....

I have a reservation at a San Diego State beach campground starting tomorrow. I called them yesterday and was told they were still open but I still had concerns so I called them back this morning.

They officially closed down this morning. Bummer! Guess I now have to unload my fridge and wait until next time.

People just don't take this pandemic seriously enough here in California. Had they, we may not have had to shut down again. If you could make wearing a mask a Hollywood fashion statement, maybe more would do that simple thing to help the spread. Such a simple minor inconvenience that many just won't be bothered with.

I have no problem wearing a mask. I almost put one on when looking at a mirror due to the close proximity.

Ok, I have officially lost my mind, thank you very much.

Looking at mirror....
Technically you're really about six feet away, about 3 feet to your reflection and 3 feet from reflection back to you. So I'd say you're OK!!! That is six feet right????

Sorry to hear about the upended plans. Good thing you followed up. Sadly, if people won’t heed advice to avoid mass travel and large family gatherings, they sure aren’t going to have brains or compassion enough to wear a mask. The Thanksgiving surge hasn’t hit yet. When it does, it will be ugly.

It's not just California.

What does wearing a mask have to do with staying in a campground in an rv?

Absolutely nothing. This is just busy bodies on a power trip getting off on being able to decide who can continue to make a living and who they can crush and put out of business.

Lots of National Parks in Calif. are also closed for camping, not sure about National Forests.
