Kayak masks
The hysteria of this virus thing as gone nuts. I frequent a kayak forum and they are advertising kayak masks to protect you from Covid 19. Fresh air, sunshine and solitude are reasons for kayaking. The masks everyone are pushing are to protect other people from you. If you are alone in a kayak, what is the mask for? They live amongst us folks.

It's a marketing opportunity. You may think it's stupid, but I bet they sell a lot of masks.
Remember the Pet Rock?

Definitely marketing, mask are turning into the new fashion statement. And like your avatar I see a lot of KC Chiefs mask popping up, I'm sure they'll be a lot of them at Arrowhead this year.

They're to prevent interspecies transfer. Who knows, you might catch something from fish...
Or, perhaps, it's about another kind of transfer... your money to somebody else's pocket.
Opportunist marketing, at its finest.

I would say at sporting events they would be a good idea to wear with the masses of people traveling and confined in the stadium atmosphere, Kayaks not so much. I think I'll try to invent one with an integrated straw for your drinks. I think my most memorable Chiefs game was in 1998 against the Seahawks, we were on the top row of the stadium during the storm.

You could have stopped right there. Everything else that's happened is due to the ridiculous hysteria. Like people driving in their cars by themselves, wearing a mask....

Yep and I remember when my Dad took us to the airport when the Chiefs returned from their first Super Bowl win, he held me on his shoulders. My Dad (he's 80 now) also played basketball against the Chiefs for a fundraiser in Lexington, Mo.
