2018.5 Seneca 37HJ 12 Cu. Ft. Norcold Refrigerator

When on AC twice now we’ve noticed the instrument panel is very faintly flashing AU & you can not turn the power off. I reset what I think to be the “reefer” breaker with no change. Still faintly flashing AU. Won’t power off. Won’t switch to LP. Bontrager RV Service in Nappanee, IN. per Norcold recommendation’s installed a switch that is suppose to turn the cooling fan’s on sooner and suppose to to have them stay on longer. Any suggestions? We just left for a month long trip. Help greatly appreciated.

The "main" power source for your refrigerator is 12-volts so it isn't on a breaker. The 120-volt breaker protects the circuit that supplies power to the heater elements when it is running on AC power. But the 12-volt actually operates the controls. You might try shutting off your battery switch which should shut off all power to the refrigerator controls. If no improvement you may have a problem with the refrigerator control board itself.

Thanks for your response. I eventually was able to turn the power off & then back on. I switched from AC to LP & the temperature in the past 1 1/2 hrs. has dropped 5 degrees. Obviously when your connected to shore power you don’t want to burn your LP. This faintly flickering AU has occurred 2 times in the past 3 days. If it acts up again I’ll do as you suggested. Thanks again.
