Driver/Passenger Airbags in 2016-2018 Seneca?

Does anyone know if driver/passenger airbags come equipt in the 2016-2018 Senecas?
Owned a Seneca 35GS since 2006-Was recently in head on collision-airbags and design of Seneca saved my husbands life. Searching for new one, but cant seem to find information anywhere that newer models have airbags??? Thanks!

Air bags

The driver's is in the steering wheel & the passenger's is why we don't have a glove compartment on our 2016

I was unaware the newer Senecas have crash air bags. My 2014 37TS does not, but it would give me some additional peace of mind if it did!

I could be wrong but I have seen no indication that my 2018 has any airbags or supplemental restraint system (SRS).

I was hoping a new owner would chime in, I didn't think any Freightliner Seneca has crash airbags.

Srs

From the manual:
Air Bag, Optional
Your vehicle may or may not be equipped with a
driver’s air bag supplemental restraint system.
The air bag, when used with seat belts, provides additional
protection to the driver in severe frontal collisions.
The operational readiness of the air bag system
is indicated by the supplemental restraint system
(SRS) indicator on the dash. The SRS indicator
comes on when the engine is started and then goes
off.

I've never seen it illuminated on my 2014. Never thought there were bags-definitely not the passenger with no panel to blow out.

The best way to confirm if your unit has a safety airbag is to contact freight liner with your vin. I have not seen any reference to airbags in the 2018 units but would be pleasantly pleased if it does come with one.

During our acceptance walk-around, my wife asked why no glove box on the passenger side. The answer was "passenger air bag location." I have not checked w/ Freightliner, but sure will.

My 2014 Seneca does not have a passenger-side glovebox either, but I can tell you for certain it doesn't have a SRS airbag there since I have had the entire dash apart several times. I have upgraded the dash speakers, installed my satellite radio receiver and antenna, and hooked up the microphone in my rearview camera so I can hear the dear wife tell me to stop in addition to waving frantically! Some of this resides behind that passenger-side panel. No airbag in mine for sure.

Usually an airbag-equipped vehicle will have "SRS" or "Airbag" notations visible to the occupants, mostly just so they can have a good feeling knowing they are better protected. There frequently is also a sunvisor sticker advertising the safety features too. Most new cars will also come with a tag hanging noticeably describing the SRS system and warning about where to (not) place car seats since small kids and airbags don't mix well.

As Mark S (another former firefighter) can attest, the SRS or Airbag labels don't always correspond with the actual airbag locations; in new cars the airbags and other SRS devices can be hidden all over. Unfortunately there is no federal requirement to clearly call out the actual location of every SRS device, as several first responders have found out "the hard way".

No airbags

We were told the reason we didn't have a glove box was the airbag but after looking - I don't see anything to make me think that we have airbags - I'm sorry that my first response was based on what i was told and not what I had verified - no airbags in 2016
