Luna has Arrived

We are super excited to have brought home our new 2022 Accolade, Luna, over the weekend.

She has the Moonlight exterior (hence the name Luna) and Crossville interior.

The coach itself was put together pretty well with not too many things that couldnít be fixed/adjusted during the PDI. I am currently at the dealer fixing the things didnít do during our PDI and a few we found over the weekend:

- Driver side living room slide wouldnít retract completely leaving about an inch gap across the entire bottom. There also wasnít a seal at the bottom of the slide.

- EQ auto levelers wouldnít work properly as all jacks would come down at once when trying to manually use only the rear or just the front jacks

- Heating ducts werenít working all the same. Front living ducts were blowing hot but not very strong. 1/2 bath and main basement storage area blow very strong and very hot. Bedroom and rear bath vents blew very little and not very warm especially the bath.

- Both big drawers under cooktop wonít hold closed when anything is in it.

On Sunday, I spent most of the afternoon exploring underneath and didnít discover too many critter entry points. The ones I did find, I filled them with expanding foam. I was also surprised to find the wiring/plumbing in the basement area was actually quite tidy. I opened up the carpeted hidden area in the front driver compartment behind the battery bay and all the wiring and components (included the BIM) looked good without all the excess wiring Iíve seen pics of. Iím hoping the same wiring person who did this also did the wiring under the bed as I havenít explored that area yet.

Under the cab there was some foil covered foam (about 1Ē thick) that was just hanging down for the most part so I had to temporarily tape it all back into position as it was too cold for spray adhesive to work. This would have been a great critter home. Will tackle that again when it warms up. Not sure if this was put in by freightliner or Jayco/Entegra.

The battery sliding tray was a little difficult to put back in as all the wire looms were preventing the slide to go all the way back in so I had to get underneath and hold the looms up while the wife pushed it closed. Luckily this wonít be an everyday thing of opening the battery tray.

We hope to do the maiden voyage this upcoming weekend to Branson (a whopping 40 miles from home). Although it will be cold it should be fun exploring it more and seeing what surprises we can find (hopefully all good).

You have to be careful sliding the battery tray. My wiring gets crimped every time I close it.

Congrats and enjoy the new ride. We can wait to get back out there and use ours this spring.
