Save water no matter where you go

I added a i-spring RO system to our 37 TS. I fill the FW tank and run the water pump all the time. Keeps all the faucets clear and we can run the ice maker all the time. And it's safe water. I don't trust city water. I am from Flint, MI. We have deen using for 3 years and love it. I put it on a smart plug and run it 1.5 hours a day. We are full timers.

How much water is used with this system to produce a few gallons of RO water? I am not familiar with this one but but it seems to say it using 1.5 gals for every gallon it procuces.

That generally is the problem with RO. Most waste more water than they produce with the exception of Zero waste which pumps the used water back into the water lines for use by the home (what we use).

I tested it. I filled a 5 gallon bottle with a flow meter on the hose going to the RO system and it was 1 gallon waste water to 1 gallon of good water. To me that's not a problem.

Interesting, because what you posted said 1.5 to 1 and even if it is one, it is wasting a gallon for a gallon. That might not be a problem in the Land of Lakes or someplace like that but here, we have two major lakes (Powell and Mead that are at a level that Phoenix, LA and Las Vegas may be out of water in short order. One of the reason mine is 0 waste.

That would be great if someone could come up with a system that does that on a small scale.

Mine is in the house not the RV. Brita works fine in the RV.
