Seneca mud flap issue

Hi all, we have a 2020 Seneca. As we were on our way back from 4500 mile road trip I noticed one of my rear mud flap had came loose and melted against the tire. I took it in for punch list items when we returned. Found out the other mud flap came loose and put a wear mark on the tire. They are replacing both, but wanted to give you a heads up to check those flaps.

Unfortunately this is extremely common, happened on ours and many, many others so it doesn’t sound like they have changed anything for the better. The problem is the crappy and small screws they use to attach the frames to the body break and allow this to happen. The frames that hold them are also extremely light duty, I decided to just build new heavier frames and cut larger rigid flaps and attach them with #10 self tapping screws and the flaps are bolted to the new frames with 1/4” bolts.

Wow nice job! I’ll never understand (besides cutting corners for cost cutting) why they wouldn’t put better quality in these big units when it comes to safety. Cheap shallow screws, rubbing on tires until a blow out.....safety !!!!!!

Had a problem with my Accolade when we bout it in Oct 2019. Jayco customer service knows this is an issue but can't seem to get the problem fixed on the production line. I had my passengers side flap replaced and remounted before we went on our shakedown cruise.

Mud flap bracket brace was first thing I did when I got mine home from the dealer.

I'm having the same issue on my 2007 Seneca. Initially I "extended" the length of the mud flaps have using a cut up heavy duty floor mats to prevent so much mud and dirt on my towing vehicle. Now I've noticed that they're coming lose. Another project to deal with in the near future.

Yeah I had the same problem, actually got flagged down by a trucker who saw it dragging on the ground right in front of our rear wheels about to completely come off... Still haven't gotten it fixed yet but plan on putting on completely new flaps done my way anyhow...
