Tapping Into the Compressed Air System - Any tips?

I can't believe Jayco didn't add an air chuck somewhere on this coach! When I need to add some air to a tire, I don't feel like going to a truck stop.

Any cautions and/or suggestions on tapping into the OEM plumbing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Damian

Tapped into mine above the rear passenger air bag. Installed a regulator, chuck and gauge and mounted it above the propane tank. Works great!!

There are a few posts on the subject. Recall someone Tee'd off the tank and installed a chuck under the hood.

First question is if your 2018 is on the M2 chassis or is it a 2018.5 on the S2 chassis? There are different answers depending on what you have.

Utrzrdog, did you install an pressure protection device when you toed in the the line? This can be dangerous if there is a failure as you can lose all your air causing the brakes to lock up.

If you have an M2 chassis, Robbbyr shows the proper way to tie into the air system here.

If you have the S2 chassis, it’s as easy as installing a tee in the supply line running up to the air horn as it’s already run through a pressure protected circuit.

I did not install one in that I was told not to worry about it from a Local Diesel repair shop but I can sure see your concern. I guess that I will go and buy 30 feet of hose and tie into the line on the air horn.

Thank you for the advise.
