I've just bought this, previous owners claimed never had any leaks....but....
All of the paneling in the slideout has been caulked (looks like almond silicone) the vertical corners and the roof/wall joints. Seems very weird to me as the rest of the trailer has the typical plastic "trim". Do I call foul on this transaction? Do you think this was done at the factory??????
Guys thanks but I think you misunderstand. Yes, quite aware that EXTERIOR is caulked/Dicor'ed/lapsealed/ect, but I'm talking about the INTERIOR of the slideout. Is it NORMAL to have just about every other joint (the joints between the cabinets and side walls/ceiling, the interior corner joints between walls, etc) have that brown or tan plastic "expansion strip" BUT the slideout have those joints caulked. I'm trying to determine if the previous owner has lied to me about "no leaks" as the caulking would indicate that "someone" had modified after it left the factory.
