2016 Eagle - under the trailer

I'm toying with the idea of trying to fix a bad valve under my trailer.

To do so I'd have to cut through a covering used under the trailer. It runs the entire length of the trailer and looks to be an 1/8" thick, or so. I'm not sure what kind of material it's made of.

Does anyone know what it's called (generally) or even how to find it online. If I decide to work on my water issue I'll need some replacement material. Given that I have no idea what it's called, it's hard to search for it online!

Thanks.

It's black corrugated plastic (Coroplast) and can be purchased at Home Depot, Amazon and lots of other places.

When I replaced my black tank valve I cut the Chloroplast in a hatch shape and when finished I taped it up with black gorilla tape and it's held up for 2 years now.

Exactly what they would do at the factory or dealer.

No need to ruin it. Mine has several factory placed pieces that can easily be removed to access the slide out motors. The screws can be removed enough to get a look at where the access needs to be for future repairs and a slightly larger patch can be installed over it.

I cut a flap into mine to fix the bolt coming up thru the vinyl. Couldn't get Gorilla tape to stick to it and ended up using black Eternabond. I cleaned it with acetone before trying the tape.

At some point (I bought used) a hole was cut to access an electrical box. It was patched with a larger piece screwed to a wood frame behind. I don't have any holes cut to access the slide motors. I would guess if those were there then someone had a problem inside there.

Wondered if that's what you meant but none under mine. Just the one patched hole to access some electrical near the steps. Maybe something they stopped doing between '11 & '14.
