26BH screens for vents

Does anyone with a 26BH recall which size screens you had to buy to prevent mouse entry?
I put the round one in my Amazon cart for the heat exhaust, but I can't even remotely recall the sizes of the others, or even if I'm remembering them all.

I know the water heater area gets one, the refrigerator exhaust and the vent hood exhaust. Does anyone recall the size of these? Do I need any others.

Also, do you recall which size coupler lock you purchased?

I'll go back by storage on Saturday, but if someone happens to remember I'll order now.

We always take our screens when we move between RVs and have always had these;

We never have used a vent hood exhaust screen as ours have always had the flapper to keep things out.

Mice typically can't crawl up the side of a TT to access those places but it's a good idea to screen then off to prevent wasps and mud daubers from building nests.

When you have time, crawl around the perimeter of the underbelly and look for holes to fill with the copper mesh. If you ever pull your propane bottles of for a long period, block the connections off too because bugs like the smell if propane for some reason and like to find their way into small orfices. For some reason, I have some insects that like to build small cocoons behind my outside door latch catches.

That's good to know.
We plan to crawl under the trailer tomorrow and plug holes if the rain will hold off.
And I plan to order screens. I just need to measure.

You may also want to place scented dryer sheets all around the spaces the trailer. Refresh every few months. They don't like the smell and stay away. I know of individuals that had issues and the dryer sheets fixed the problem.

Buy a small roll of aluminum screen wire and use a hot glue gun to attach to the air intake on back of refrigerator, and if you remove the aluminum cage on the water heater exhaust, you can just fold up a piece to fit under the aluminum vent cover (too hot for hot glue to hold.) You can also remove the polished metal furnace exhaust cover and fit some screen within the cover over the exhaust pipe and re-install (no glue here either). I can't think of any other openings you may want to screen up, but this should keep all the bugs out of the equipment. If you do screen the stove vent, you won't be able to latch and unlatch the flapper. If you have squirrel problems, too, you should also screen off the sewer vent pipe and around the refrigerator roof vent.

Good Luck ........... Swampy

where might I find the sewer vent?
Like your screen name indicates for you, I also live in a swampy area. We have lots of critters.

Octopus, on the roof, generally over the black tank area, look for a 3" to 4" diameter plastic cap that sticks up about 2 inches above the roof. Those tree rats love to chew on them and will make entry into your attic if you don't keep an eye on them. They can cause considerable damage from water entry if they gnaw on the roof edge where the pipe protrudes once they chew the cap off.

I had a new roof installed on one of my houses in the suburbs of New Orleans and I suppose the shiny metal of the 1/4" lead vent shroud around the sewer vent pipe attracted them. My tenant reported a roof leak and when I climbed up there to check it out, the tree rats had chewed the entire lead shroud in half. there were thousands of metal filings all around it on the roof. I wrapped the sewer vent pipe in an electrical sealing putty (Bishops Sealing Putty) and have not had any more problems ... I suppose they don't like the tar taste of the mastic material.

The hot glued screen wire on the refrigerator air vent is fairly easy to install. Just remove the vent from the outside wall behind the refrigerator to work on it. Turn it over and you will see the openings in the underside. If you screen these openings , it will keep wasps and spiders out of the workings of the refrigerator. This may save you some unexpected refrigerator problems.

Good Luck and Happy Camping .......... Swampy

What are you using to keep bugs out of the vent a hood exhaust? There is a flap that closes, but the exhaust hood itself looks like something that a wasp colony might enjoy while it is in storage.
I have been able to find insect screens for the fridge, hot water heater vent, and exhaust vent for heater, but not for the vent hood.
