A New TT For Us - 26RLS

We closed a deal today on a 2013 JayFlight 26RLS, and traded in our 22FB. We take delivery in about a month, just in time for early spring camping, if the weather cooperates. For those who wonder about weights, the yellow sticker on the 26RLS says 6810 lbs. It is pretty much optioned to the max.

That's exactly what we are getting. We just got notice that the sale of our x17z in done so now we can finally put the money down on our 26RLS. Same thing, optioned to the max with the only option it doesn't have is the power stab jacks.

Enjoy, I know we will!

David,

Congratulations on the new TT. Looking at the floorplan of your new Jay Flight 26RLS it's has some basic similarities to my '05' Eagle. I'm sure you will enjoy the large windows with the open floor plan........, wish I had the extra swivel chair!

Your '13' 26RLS:

We have a 2011 26RLS. We love the floorplan and have put 3 cross country trips on it. We did add a water pump switch in the bathroom. It makes it so much easier to use the bathroom without having to go to the command center in the kitchen area while the slide out is in.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but marameo can you give me some details on how you wired a water pump switch in the bathroom for the 26 RLS. One of the very few annoyances we have found is if we are on the road on a busy highway and SHMBO ("she who must be obeyed") wants to use the bathroom, we have to use the bedroom access door to get to the facilities unless we pop out the slide and use the main entrance. Sometimes when you are on the shoulder of a busy highway putting the slide out on the road side is a little treacherous and impractical.

We had taken 3 cross country trips from AZ to MN and those are the reasons we asked our dealer if it was doable. We can not take any credit for it, while our unit was in for minor warranty work we had the dealer add it in for us. They placed the switch to the right side of the lower cabinet just below the cutout area in the solid piece of wood, it is not on the wall. It cost us $65 to have it done. It was one of the best add ons we have done. The other add on we did do was install a switch for the bathroom fan on the wall with the light switch. Otherwise we had to reach up on the fan to turn it on.

When we purchased our unit in 2010 there were only 4 options and we added them all. So we had to add our own which are now offered options in today's 26RLS.

We had to add our own television and we swapped out the Jensen CD player with the Jensen DVD player. This one we did ourselves. Same cut out, just had to add a HDMI cable.

Hope this helps.
