Antifreeze Trickle Across The Floor.....

So went to the tt yesterday to get some info off of the toilet for a recall Thetford has on the upper toilet valve. The problem with the valve is when you are filling the bowl with the pedal pushed half way down, water will intermittenly run out of the top of the valve and spill onto the floor. Thetford is aware of the problem and sends owners new valves upon request. Anyway, the problem....I found a very small trail of antifreeze that came from somewhere behind the toilet. The weather here has warmed significantly and I am sure the pipes have defrosted. I guess my question is, do you all think I have a broken pipe somewhere? My wife is trying to be reassuring by saying that the antifreeze probably just leaked out of the top of the defective valve. I winterized the tt myself for the first time in the fall. I watched plenty of videos and asked lots of questions to owners so I am 99% sure I did it right. I am planning on towing her home in a couple of weeks for the annual cleaning/waxing/maintainance stuff, so I will know more then. Any opininons on this would be welcome.

My guess would be your wife is right and the defective toilet valve is the issue. I`ve been through that already and replaced mine last Summer. Since you winterized it properly the chance of a broken pipe is very slim. Replace the valve then check for any possible leaks. Here`s a link to more info on the toilet valve.

Well we just had our new 2011 out for the first time and first night I found water on main floor out side bathroom and toilet was leeking I thought the supply line nut wasnt tight so tried that not a good place to get your hands but did tighten it some so put dish below line and part way through next day wife dumped dish it was half full so now after reeding this post I might have a bad valve on mine will have to check it a little more.

Yeah that`s the same link I found last Summer and is the one I referred to in the earlier post. That`s where these forums really come in handy, tracking down issues and letting other peoples experiences make the diagnosis and repair easier. -Lee
