Awning and Led Light Tray

I have to replace my awning fabric, looks straight forward. What I haven't seen is, does the led light tray come on and off with the awning or does it stay when you pull the awning out of the channels? thanks!

The LED's are separate from the awning. They should stay put when you remove the material.

Great thanks. I've read so much contrary info. Some say the track that the lights are in is sewn into the awning fabric, some say it built into the track the awning slides into. I know the lights slide in and out of the track, but the track itself is the question. Thanks!

I think there are some Dometic awnings that have a strip attached. I've also seen them slide into a separate channel in the fabric. I guess it would be best to examine yours. I can say mine is NOT attached to the awning at all.

Same here. The strip is attached to the unit and not the awning.
