Battery cut-off switch for dual 6volt Batteries

Hello everyone!

Newby here..... I purchased two 6volts batteries and a battery cut-off switch . Actually I bought 2 switches ( 1-2 both-off battery switch and on - off switch) because I don’t know which one it’s best for my set up. I haven’t been able to find a video or a diagram of how to run the cables/wires. I’ve watched YouTube but they all show how to attach the switch and then show a brief shot of it wired, but not long enough for me to figure it out.

I have two 6 volt batteries joint in a series and need to know how to install it properly and which of these two switches is best for this setup. My TT is a 28BHBE

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are 2 ways of installing a battery disconnect switch. The first way and probably the most popular is connecting the disconnect switch between the batteries negative terminal and the TT's frame ground. The second way is to insert the disconnect switch between the positive terminal and the TT load connection. Oh, and the cable that connects the 2 batteries together should be the same size or large (AWG) then the thickest cable connected to the battery. If you add a high output inverter, the mfr will specify the needed cable size to use.

I included a drawing below, any questions just ask.

Good Luck, the negative installation should only take about a 1/2 hour with parts.
