Best type of ladder?

My little camper (Hummingbird RK) does not have an installed ladder. What is the best type of ladder to use for maintenance, and getting on the roof?

O got a telescoping ladder at ace hardware .Amazon has them too. My old n29y had no ladder an this worked good

I like the telescoping ladder too. I ordered a ladder when I bought my trailer and now regret it. Most of the time I use the ladder is to inspect the slide, and with the mounted ladder I have to climb on to the roof to see the slide. Also, the ladder adds penetrations through the rubber and siding.


I bought a telescoping ladder on Amazon and it works great. I can lean it against the wall and climb up a couple steps and see/clear my slideout roof. No additional maintenance items either. And... it was cheaper!

x2 - works really well. Use a cut pool noodle on the ladder where it touchs the trailer.

We purchased this ladder and have found it to be great. The one change I made was to tape some pipe insulation on the top rung so I could lean it against the trailer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was looking at the telescoping ladders, but I need to get a sturdy one. I am 260lb, but I did see some with 330lb rating. I will admit though they make me a little nervous.

Have an old fiberglass extension ladder works fine,still do not like it up on the roof!
