Buying a new Jayco
Looking at possibly upgrading to a new Jayco...2019 or 2020. How do you translate all of the model numbers? What do they mean?

IMO, there are no hard and fast 'rules' on the abbreviations. Just start looking at the various units and pay attention to the models that you like. You'll notice the patterns before too long.

In general:
F=front
R=rear
K=kitchen
E=entertaining
D=den
BH=bunkhouse
MB=mid bunk
L=living
S=slide
The number = the length of the finished camper area, not the hitch. Add a few feet for overall exterior length.

Q=queen
B=bed
W=wide, as in 8 feet vs 7 feet

In the SLX series some things are easy
195RB Rear Bath
154bh bunk house
184bs bunks and slide out
bigger the number, longer it is. but the smaller 184 is only a few inches smaller but weighs more due to the slide.
Best bet, wander through some dealers, ask questions, find out what you can tow safely and with comfortably ( do it here, the dealers will mostly suggest your Fiat Mini could pull a 40 foot trailer, no, I am not kidding! ) , decide new vs. used, what features you need vs. want and can afford.
Good luck, ask questions here, use the search function, post what you plan to pull with, size of family, type and where you plan to camp, how often, etc. and you will not lack advice, hopefully good.

TT or MH? Give us some more info on what area/size your leaning towards, and other owners will chime in.
