ceiling LED lights hard to turn on?

My 2018 SLX 267BHSW has the little round white plastic LED lights, and the issue I have is a couple of them won't turn back on reliably after I turn them off by pressing the little button in the middle. If they're operated by a wall switch then they always come back on via the wall switch if I leave them in the "on" position, but I have to try several times, and sometimes give up, to get them back on via the light's little button. They all eventually seem to come back on if I resume trying, so they're not burned out. Anyone have this problem, and know of a solution?

My camper is still really new, but I have the same lights. I don't have the exact problem you have, but I have one over the kitchen I can't get to go off. I don't care how many times I push it. It never seems to click. I know your problem is the opposite, but still a problem with this type of light.

If it's sporadic I'd have to think there is a problem with the push button switch rather than the LED or power supplied to the light. And probably the only way to diagnosis the problem would be taking one of them apart to see how the mechanism operates. I'm guessing the mechanism is similar to a push button type pen mechanism and some minor tweaking is required. Maybe someone else will have additional insight.

Yup, makes sense it must be a switch problem. Maybe someone else will have dealt with this. Thanks.

I had a similar problem mtbbrewer74 where some of those lights are difficult to turn off. I mentioned this in my first trip post and someone posted something to try. I intend to try it as soon as I am camping again which is over thanksgiving. Here is a link to that post https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...tml#post691483

Jpg Gale is correct. We had the same issue in our 2017 Jay Feather. Removed the caps and put them back on. Work great now.

I've had problems with those over head LED lights, but not the same as yours.

I have on light begin to strobe. Thought I was back in some disco dance hall. I had another one that would just go off after a while.

Stopped by the Jayco factory in Middlebury, IN on my way back from Yellowstone. They replaced the offending light fixtures. Unfortunately, now one of the LED fixtures in the bathroom has began to strobe.

That light is on my list of some warranty items that need to be fixed in February of 2019.

Sounds like there is a diversity of strange problems with the LEDs. Sure like how they don't use much juice, but these other problems are weighing heavily against them. Thanks for the additional info.

Take it apart and spray the plunger with some silicone spray or your favorite lube.

Thanks, Bilz, which of the problems described here were you having when you used this resolution, if I might ask?

I found them hard to push. They would not push all the way in. I have found this on many plastic plunger type switches

Ok, thanks. In my case, the buttons seem to work normally, i.e., they push all the way in and make the clicking noise, so they don't seem to be sticking at all. But won't hurt to give your suggestion a try, so thanks again.
