Day/night shade swap

I have a 19 bh and am considering swapping the metal blinds to day/night shades but I really don't want to have to change valences if it is not necessary and don't really know if it will be worth it in the long run because I have read several negative comments about the shades being loose.....is there a day/ night shade that will work with the valence/hardware already in the TT and are they worth the trouble or will I regret them? Particularly looking forward to hearing if anyone has already done this mod.

I just asked a similar question in the MODs section. I had the day/night shades in the RV I sold and want to put them in the trailer I just bought. For the ones I had in my RV, they were great. I have just started looking for the day/night shades and have only ran across a couple of places where I liked what they had. I need to measure all of my current shades before I can get a price quote. In my case, I am 99% sure I can leave all of my valances in place and only swap out the shades. I can't really answer your question about metal to day/night. I think for you, it will depend on how they mounted the metal shades. Mine look like I can simply remove them and replace with the day/night.

Day/night shade swap

I have done the opposite with no issues on another rig.
I have no use for those wide shades that take two people to raise/lower. They are a constant source of maint. when mine finally are in repairable they are gone.
