Diamond Kote ext. protection on new Jay Flight SLX?

Hello!

We're taking delivery of a new Jay Flight SLX 232RB in the next couple of weeks. We've pretty much decided against the SAL extended warranty, as I'm pretty handy, and handled everything (mods, maintenance, and repairs) on our last 2 trailers. What I'm hoping for is some thoughts on the Diamond Kote exterior protection package my dealer is offering for up to $880 Can. Would this be worth it on an aluminum trailer with the new silver colour scheme, or would this be a waste of $?

We actually took them up on it this time with our last rig. I have to say I was skeptical, but it has worked pretty well to my pleasant surprise. Inside, stuff just slides off the walls and furniture that was treated, so it's SUPER easy to clean. Downside is that nothing sticks to the walls; like command hooks. You have to treat the surface with alcohol if you want the command strip to stick.

Outside, it gave me a GREAT head start keeping the exterior looking new. I wash a couple times a year with Meguiars that has wax in it, and every time, most of the dirt and bugs just come right off. After 2 years, it's getting a LITTLE more difficult to get bugs off the front cap, but for those 2 years it was pretty easy. I'll probably just end up treating the front cap with Rejex or similar.
