I would not feel comfortable full timing in any location where below freezing temps are frequent. Eventually it will bite you.
Thank you for your advice! Where I live at in Oregon it doesnt get below freezing to much, just off and on a couple months in winter. Made it through last years snow and cold with no issues but not sure if I just got lucky lol I live in it on my sisters property, never have even towed it anywhere, came straight from the dealership here since last October. Considering the straw and lights option but my sister seems to think it will be a big, difficult mess. The skirts are just SO expensive!

I do live on her property so I have to take the condition of her yard into consideration but I totally agree with you! If it works if rather do that to save my pipes and my $$$

If the "mess" is an issue, purchase a roll of visqueen or black plastic and wrap it around the bales. We've used it to protect material in construction storage and it should last you a season if no one "plays on it." (I don't mean, wrap each bale, just use the roll to wrap just like a skirt (or kilt .

Straw is used for livestock bedding and hay is for livestock feed which is mostly more costly.
