Dometic 320 toilet in a 2013 264bh anyone?

Hello anyone with this trailer or similar installed a 320 toilet? I’m a big guy and the little oem one just not gona cut it and I really want the 320 Cadillac lol. So with the cost of one I want to make sure it’s going to fit etc.

I believe the biggest factor in whether it will fit or not is how much space you have behind the toilet. If you go to Dometics website it should give measurements on how much room you need back there. Also, you may have to modify the water line going to the toilet.

We put one in our 2021 Jay Flight 29rks. It is a very tight fit, but it fits. Take all of your measurements and be sure to include the distance to the back wall from the center of the floor bolts.

The Dometic web site can clear up those questions. Door clearance is also a factor.

I swapped the factory unit for a Dometic 310 in my old Grey Wolf trailer a few years ago; was a straight swap, took me 10 minutes.

I'm going to attempt it in our 2021 267BHS this afternoon... As the only guy in a family of 4, I have been informed the existing Thetford isn't acceptable, that a more 'normal' toilet is required.

And 310 is installed... physical install and drain connection was a snap.

Supply line, however, required the standard 3 trips to the hardware store.

Ended up with a 1/2 street elbow off the back of the flush valve, into a 3/8" flex line, then to a 3/8 flex to 1/2 pex with a shutoff.

I like it but what a pain...

310 is way nicer then the Thetford though. Worth the effort!

I forgot to mention that I installed an inline cutoff valve in my supply line. It could be added and it may come in handy some day.

Lookin good, I’m hoping the 320 will be similar in hookup so what exact parts did you use? Just wana know so can write down and hand to plumbing guy at Home Depot so can hopefully make it a one trip to town when I do this. Your bathroom looks same as my 2013 setup.

I used 2 x 1/2" sharkbite to 3/8" compression straight connectors (both with 1/4 turn shutoffs), a 20" 3/8" to 3/8" braided line and a 1/2" black iron street elbow. I reused the 1/2" NPT connector with about 2" of PEX from the original toilet as well.

I worked from the toilet back - mounted the toilet to the existing flange; then put the street elbow on the water inlet on the toilet.

Screwed the reused- 1/2" NPT connector with the short bit Pex on to the elbow (needed the elbow for clearance between the toilet and the wall).

Sharkbite fitting on the pex, braided hose on the threaded end of the sharkbite; then other sharkbite on the other end of the hose. Coiled it and lined it up the way I wanted it, marked and cut the existing PEX from the trailer, and mated up the other PEX with the sharkbite.

There's probably about 27 better ways to do this - but on a Sunday afternoon, I had to work with what was available and open. I got everything I needed at the local Lowes/Home Depot type store.

The killer was the 1/2" NPT input on the toilet - standard residential toilet fitting is 7/8" - residential faucets are 1/2" but a different thread; so both of those were useless. At least it was standard 1/2" PEX so that was something I could work with!

Got it installed today and fit no problem. Except had to notch out the box where pipes are run through behind the toilet.
Used a SharkBite 1/2 Inch Angle Stop x 1/2 Inch NPSM Click Seal Faucet Connector x 20 Inch, Push to Connect Brass Plumbing Fitting, PEX Pipe, Copper, CPVC, PE-RT, HDPE, 24657 for the water hose and a cheap pex cutter.
One tip for lining up the floor bolts with the toilet holes is put straws on the bolts. Makes it much easier aligning and just pull off the straws when toilet is in place.
Have added pics last one kinda dark, but can sorta see the notch.
Hope all this will help another in a future search on this forum.

Just FYI - I've swapped several toilets and replaced most with Dometic 310 or Dometic 320. Measurment from BACK wall to bolts on bottom of toilet requires minimum of 11". 264BH should have plenty of clearance for either. Also, use Thetford waterline kit part #28962 that screws straight on supply line and other end screws straight on toilet.

Is that that Dometic 310 or Dometic 320?
Did it come with a new floor seal or do you have to get that separate?
