Door not latching properly

Noticed when my main entrance door was closed and locked, (not the deadbolt) If pulled on the handle just a little, the door would open. After experimenting, what was happening is the way the door was mounted, the latch would go in but there was just a very small area on the plate to hold it latched.

So, I mounted 2 washers behind the strike plate and now it works great.
Just wanted others to be aware.

Could it have been the trailer was out of level? I noticed that once right after I got my 28bhbe when I was hooked up to the TV and was out of level.

Nice catch on your part. We had to adjust our screen door latch to get it to work properly. There are lots of glitches sometimes like this one that just requires a little operator attention and can be fixed simply enough. The joys of owning your own rig. I try to do any of the little stuff to my rig that I am still capable of doing at my advanced age. It is very satisfying also to fix the little stuff on your own. At one point, I used to do the big stuff also, but those days are behind me now.
