Actually just let it dry out a little and the exposed sealant will flake right off with your fingers. That type of sealant is not meant for sunlight so the exposed material will dry out and turn into chalk.

I can see why you would want to redo it.

Now that’s a real mess and I have a question for the group who have the metal siding. Does your door frame & window frames sit that far away from the aluminum siding? The reason I say that is on my smooth side TT the window & door frame fits tight to the siding give or take 1/16th of an inch. That’s a water leak just waiting to happen both top & sides especially when traveling down the road at 60 MPH.

The way your window fits on your door is the way all my windows & door frame fits, nice and tight.

And whos to say the butyl tape is applied right?

True, but the only way to see that at this point is to pull the Windows, and I answered b4 he was kind enough to post the pictures.

In the past the stick and tin units had a foam gasket on the windows, not butyl tape. And they have been known to leak, especially if the window was not centered properly during installation.

Our windows are tight to the siding — no excess caulk showing at all. Our door is similar to this — a little tidier and not quite as much overflow, but definitely showing.
